From this event in New York the other day. And yet the police are the only ones who can be trusted to have military style assault rifles, eh?
[Update! Kind tip of the hat to D2k @ Sayuncle for providing a high resolution scan of the top image. Survey says: EOTech!]

That HMMWV is not cover, it’s concealment. Fiberglass is most assuredly NOT cover. Aluminum sheet is also, most assuredly not cover.
Also, the Eotech is backwards.
Not Eotech. Sightmark.
It is an EOTech. The Sightmarks don’t have the bright yellow laser warning tag on the side like that EOTech does.
It’s a Sightmark and its on the right way. Do your homework before calling somebody out.
I was wrong – there’s a higher-res image linked over in comments at Uncle’s.
Sorry Steve, it’s an Eotech.
And even if his sight was on correctly, someone needs to instruct Officer Cueball in the back there how to properly mount a shotgun. I’m not sure what he’s trying to accomplish.
Another view to confirm the sight’s pedigree: http://statepolitics.lohudblogs.com/files/2013/03/herkstandoff.jpg
Also, check out officer doughboy with all of his cool, still-crisp multicam he bought on Amazon. Perfect pattern for NYC, or something.

[...] pdb : YOU CAN’T EXPLAIN THAT Found the explanation. Lots of people trying to defend the cop, say it's a Sightmark sight. I can see the up, down and NV buttons on the front/back of the sight in that pic. And I can make out what looks like EOTech, but it's a bit fuzzy. I can definitely tell the letters/logo on the side are in a format, "XXXxxxx".
