I really don’t intend this to become the James Yeager Watch, but he put up yet another goddamn video and yet again I noticed a couple of things I wanted to point out.
- Yeager doesn’t think the hundreds of people who disagree with him are relevant, but the hundreds of people who do agree with him are significant and important. Of course.
- His advice to get in shape and have loaded magazines, a clean rifle and a stocked backpack ready is good advice for any time!
- His body language betrays him. Observe at what points he breaks eye contact with the camera. Supposedly a cop should understand this.
- “…how quickly I assembled an army…” HELLO, RICO. Now he’s on the hook for any of his customers doing something crazy.
The difference between an internet threeper blowhard and a real patriot isn’t where the line in the sand is, or how violent the individual is willing to be, but how excited about it he gets beforehand. I am absolutely terrified about having to go all the way. It will not be fun, it will not be pretty, it will not be a glorious adventure. It will be awful as all hell and there is no guarantee or even any probability we would end up with a better situation than we have right now. The 2nd amendment hasn’t worked because we keep shooting people, but because of the threat it represents. It’s not a repeatable mechanism but rather a doomsday proposition.
If Yeager really believes what he’s saying, then he’s selling out a lot of long-term advantages to look like a badass in the short-term, because the moment he’s gotta face a Blackhawk with FLIR all his bravado isn’t going to be worth much. But right now, he’s a gun dealer and LEO trainer in a position to covertly hurt the cause of the tyrants, who will still want his services.
Instead he’s either gonna go down in a blaze of derp or do nothing and lose all credibility. This is the corner you find yourself backed into when you let your rage do the talking instead of thinking about the situation. Let us all draw our own lessons from this and roll out.
