pdb Vs. The Winston-Salem Pravda
Reproduced here in case it falls down the bit bucket:
How many of these anonymous Journal Editors ride PART every day to work?
People choose to pay more to use their own cars (even though they’re forced to subsidize the failed PART system at $2.3 million a year) because they prefer the freedom and flexibility of their own personal automobile to a gov’t run cattle car.
We should stop shoveling taxpayer money at wasteful mass transit systems that never turn a profit or become popular and are unsuited for an urban area with low population density and concentrate on improving our roads to increase efficiency and remove bottlenecks. (A Prius sitting in traffic gets 0MPG.)
Fans of collective systems should grow up and understand that people don’t want to ride their damn trains, trolleys and trams. The personal automobile means personal freedom. I guess that’s why the editors of the Journal hate it.
You can imagine what I think about the $8 billion Obama bullet trains.
