I think it comes down to competence and intelligence.

Women are physically weaker than men. For a woman to be dangerous she must rely on her wit and problem-solving ability, not just slug her way through it.

Watching a woman shoot well is sexy, just like watching a woman drive a race car well is sexy. I think my wife is sexy when I see her working her not-dangerous job, because I see her in her element, doing what she does with skill and efficiency.

Maybe it’s just me.

I think there’s something to that. I don’t know how “dangerous” she was, but she was damn sure competent, and until recently, I didn’t realize just how beautiful Amelia Earhart was. Maybe it’s just the tight pants and knee high boots.

I don’t know if it’s about having dangerous sons in particular. But there’s undoubtedly some evolutionary value in having a partner who can defend the cabin and offspring while you’re off hunting or whatever.

Damn fine work, ma’am. I have a 1300 too and it’s my favorite pump shotgun design. The first time I shot an 870, I thought it was broken because the slide won’t unlock and come back until you push forward on the slide! I sold it soon after.

And did you guys notice how when the shotgun was empty, she wiped the shell in from beneath the gun, so that if she fumbled it, it would just fall back into her hand? Small details are very important.

I don’t find “dangerous women” attractive because they may have “dangerous” sons. I find them attractive because you can never have enough back up.
