Partially Fake, Yet Mostly Accurate
So JayG had a looksee at the Powerpoint I linked to yesterday and despite being handicapped by living in yankeeland for many years, caught something the rest of us missed!
It looks like some desk driver did a google image search for “chevy suburban with holes in it” and stuck it into the last slide, despite it being totally not involved in the action in question.
I don’t think this totally invalidates the information presented, especially since we have a 2nd source for most of the photos. There definitely was a sustained, coordinated irregular small infantry action on our border, and a stray image doesn’t mean a bunch of gangbangers weren’t killing the hell out of each other or that the cartels are not a threat to our security and safety.
The more interesting question, as usual, is: incompetence or maliciousness? Was the 20mm’d Suburban included because Ofc. Donut was scrambling to get it done before the morning meeting? Or because the border patrol is agitating for cool APC’s and 40mms of their own?
I stand by my conclusions yesterday. The time to prepare was yesterday, and the scary-looking self-loading military pattern carbine is something that prepared individuals need to be familiar with.
